Liverpool 1973. Law student Christopher Kingston’s life and relationship are torn apart upon finding the body of his beloved cousin April violently murdered by an unknown killer.

40 years later, Chris, now a QC living in London has enough on his plate with a broken down marriage, unruly daughter and backstabbing colleagues. Just when things might be starting to look up, an unexpected package arrives from his late uncle whose dying wish is for Chris to discover the truth behind the still unsolved murder once and for all.
